• Intended use: HardyDisk™ anaerobic differentiation disks (also referred to as special-potency disks) are used to verify gram stain reactions of anaerobic bacteria and are especially helpful with certain clostridia that tend to stain gram-negative; they are useful in separating anaerobic, gram-negative bacilli into several groups, aiding in their presumptive identification
• Storage: Upon receipt store at -20 to 8°C away from direct light; the disks should not be used if there are any signs of deterioration, discoloration or if the expiration date has passed, protect from light, excessive heat and moisture
• Differentiates anaerobic bacteria on the basis of susceptibility to kanamycin; each cartridge contains 50 disks that are spring loaded for smooth and reliable dispensing from the single metal disk dispenser
