• Cardinal Health™ Petrolatum Emulsion Contact Layer dressings are sterile, occlusive wound dressings made with a flexible, non-adherent knitted cellulose acetate fabric coated with a formulated petrolatum emulsion
• The dressings are used to help aid fluid transfer into the secondary dressing
• The non-adherent property of the dressing helps to facilitate atraumatic removal by providing protection to the wound bed during dressing changes
• May be used to allow passage of exudate and protection of the wound bed during dressing changes for a wide variety of partial to full thickness wounds, including: skin grafts, venous ulcers, surgical sites, first- and second-degree burns, pressure ulcers, lacerations and abrasions, cosmetic surgery sites
