DSCSA Returns
Starting August 27, 2025, eligible distributors must fully implement the Drug Supply Chain Security Act’s (DSCSA) serialization requirements. This change will greatly affect how we handle returns of DSCSA-covered prescription products with our distribution centers (DCs) and customers. By this date, McKesson Medical-Surgical must be prepared to receive and verify data for these products from our suppliers, share serialized information with our customers, and manage returns in compliance with the DSCSA.
To ensure our systems are ready before the deadline, we will be updating our return goods process for DSCSA-covered prescription drugs starting July 27, 2025.
