Testing is critical; so is choosing the right testing modality. Different tests are appropriate at different times and for different objectives. With its shorter turnaround time, accuracy, and ease-of-use, antigen testing is well-suited for early diagnosis and intervention. Rapid and accurate diagnosis at the point-of-care (POC) may allow quicker and more effective treatment for patients. With many overlapping symptoms in highly contagious respiratory infections, accurate diagnosis is key.
