Dr. Gulati is a public health physician with a background in infectious diseases and epidemiology. In addition to her roles as a Protocol Team Leader and Clinical Trials Physician for the HIV Vaccine Trials Network and Senior Program Officer for the Vaccine Development and Women’s Health Innovations teams at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, she spent nearly a decade with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, first as an Epidemic Intelligence Service Officer and then as Senior Medical Officer and Team Lead for the Division of Global Migration and Quarantine.

Dr. Gulati graduated from Stanford University and received her MD from Oregon Health & Science University, and completed her Internal Medicine training and Chief Residency at Stanford University Hospital, followed by an Infectious Disease fellowship and MPH in Epidemiology from the University of Washington. Dr. Gulati is board-certified in both Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases.
