Educational Webinar: Tracheostomy Care

Learn about tracheostomy care with experts from the McKesson Medical-Surgical Clinical Resource Team. The team will review basic tracheostomy care and the equipment used to care for patients in the following healthcare settings: home health, hospice, skilled nursing facilities, home infusion and home medical equipment.

Learning objectives:

  • Review tracheostomy basics, including the typical patient and possible complications.
  • Explain tracheal suctioning and humidification.
  • Recognize common tracheostomy supplies and describe how and when they are used.
  • Identify safety considerations, especially in home nursing care settings.
