- BluEcoli™ (side 2) is a urine culture medium used for the culture and isolation of urinary pathogens and for the identification of E. coli which turns blue within 24 hours by using chromogenic substrates
- Inoculate both sides of the biplate with the urine specimen. If the infecting organism is E. coli, the colonies on the chromogenic side of the biplate will turn blue
- With the BluEcoli™ Urine Biplate, you can select a colony from the blood agar side of the biplate for susceptibility testing
- Helpful in spotting mixed infections
