• Used to aid in the removal of plaster casts
• Once a cut is made in the plaster cast, the blades of the spreader are closed by opening the handle and are inserted to a section of the cast
• By squeezing the handle, the blades spread open, there by spreading apart sections of the cast
• After multiple sections of the cast are spread open, the cast may be removed
• Blades are approximately 2-1/8 inches wide
